THE STEINEL SITE

With a total area of 24,318 m², the STEINEL site represents a substantial area on the southern settlement edge of Einsiedeln. The site is zoned within a tight space among various uses with differing spatial requirements regarding logistics, transport, pedestrian and cycle paths, and recreational and green zones. A defining feature of the property is its clear southwest orientation and its connection to two arterial roads (Langrütistrasse to the east and Kornhausstrasse to the west) via Allmeindstrasse. This gives the site particular importance for access and sun exposure, and it marks an important stage in the southern settlement development of the village center.

The football training pitch (building plot A), the three-story office building with attached sawtooth-roof hall (building plot B), several flat-roofed workshop buildings (building plot E), a two-family house and garage building (building plot C), as well as the old canteen building (building plot D), which has been converted into commercial space, make up the site.
